As a kid, Steve Foster lived for every Friday when his mother treated him to a 45 single of his choice. Growing up in an artistic family as the last of 8 children, Steve was lucky enough to have been raised in an environment that celebrated many different types of music. "I loved carrying my Fisher Price turntable everywhere I went. There's even an interlude of me on my album singing at 3 years old. I've been listening to music for as long as I can remember." So it was only a matter of time before he created his own.
Now, thankful for the piano classes he was forced to take and the ability to differentiate instruments and melodies from an early age, Steve has set out to create an album that encompasses his deep appreciation and love for the music that shaped his childhood. Drawing his inspiration from artists such as Michael Jackson, Burt Bacharach, Stevie Wonder, Gino Vannelli, Marvin Gaye, Jim Croce and Bob Marley, Steve combines his love of R&B, rock, electronica and pop to bring a smooth dose of feel-good tunes.
My current single 'Cold' is a true tale of love, lost. I created a music video that was true to all the emotions I was feeling when I wrote the song. Hope you enjoy! Click Here
